Teamwork between agents? Yes and it's a beautiful thing!
I remember when I got my real estate license an experienced agent telling me, "You're an independent contractor now and you don't have to work with anyone." I thought to myself how unappealing that was because I've always operated best in a team environment and I didn't like the idea of feeling alone while building my business. So, I ignored them, as I usually do when someone says something I think is ridiculous, and I started working on building a team and working with good agents. This didn't go over too well with agents that felt everyone is competition and creating a team just means you'll make less money. I knew this wasn't true and it was reinforced by my broker Ben Costanza. He's been in the business over 30 years and knows that a team is ALWAYS better.
This leads me to my main point of this week's blog. Teamwork! The story begins with a disgruntled client who stormed into our office demanding a new agent for his listing. It sometimes happens. It's very unpleasant and we take it very seriously and handle it right away. This one particular day was no different. One of the lead agents in the office assured the client that we will take great care of them and assigned them another agent. About a week later I had someone looking for a similar property to the one the, now happy client, had for sale. I reached out to my business partner for help and together along with the listing agent we helped both parties with the transaction and closed the deal very quickly. We shared the commission and moved on to the next project. This is a perfect example of why having a team is one of the most important goals you should be striving for. Yes, we made less money on the deal but we not only had a super happy customer and client, we also knew that doing it alone this would have taken a lot longer. The time saved by working with a team can now be invested in expanding our business. Plus, they gave us some love on social media and that's always valuable.
Costanza & Providence Real Estate Agency in Bayonne NJ is expanding and we would love to have you on our team. A team that will never abandon you and will do everything in our power to make sure you succeed. Call our office and ask for John Henry Soto or Frank Maglio and we'll be happy to go over our business model and give you all the details on getting started.
